Overview:

In 2020, I trained under Professor Renee Walker in an Environmental Design class to develop a solution for a way-finding problem. At the time, COVID-19 had swept the world and we experienced a pandemic like nothing we’d seen before. NYC had been the largest hotspot of the disease in the United States at the time, and the city relies heavily on the Metro system, which was a real health hazard. As a solution, I designed an expansion of MTA Brand Guidelines (M. Vigenlli, 1970) ; a new set of icons and type / pattern treatments to convey social distance messaging and encourage safe practices.
