I’ve always been a big promoter of sustainable practices and innovation, and recently have taken it into my own hands by experimenting with creating bio-materials. This has ranged anywhere from making paper out of corn husks, to making dyes out of acorns. I specifically have an interest in bioplastics; a plastic-alternative made of simple and raw materials that decompose over time. Other raw materials such as powders, herbs, grains, etc. can be added to bioplastics to change their color, texture, and durability.

Welcome to my lab, this is where I experiment!
